With A Boy Like You est une reprise de With A Girl Like You, une chanson des Troggs  sortie en 1966 (et adaptée la même année par Johnny Hallyday  sous le titre "Le jeu que tu joues"). Les Troggs ont eux-mêmes enregistré chez New Rose, le label des Calamités, et cette chanson a été reprise par Alex Chilton sur la compilation "Play New Rose For Me".

Les Calamités ont supprimé un élément important de l'interprétation des Troggs : les "pa-pa-pa-pa-pa" des chœurs après chaque vers. Mais ce n'était que pour mieux s'en inspirer pour Malhabile et Vélomoteur.
Cette chanson avait été transformée en "With A Boy Like You" dès 1971 par le groupe anglais Fable . Cette version féminisée a aussi été un succès italo-dance en 1987 dans son interprétation par Chriss , qui a elle-même inspiré en 1995 la reprise techno danoise de Tequila . En 2008 Laurent Voulzy a inséré "With A Girl Like You" dans sa nouvelle version de Rockollection 008 .
