Interpreted on stage but never recorded by Les Calamités

When You Find Out was a song by San Francisco's punk band The Nerves . It was composed by the band's bass player Peter Case, who then covered it as an instrumental piece with his next band The Plimsouls , before he started a solo career.

Anyway they managed to create between 1975 and 1978 at least two masterpieces: Hanging on the Telephone , which became worldwide famous and ever-remixed thanks to the cover by Blondie , and When You Find Out, whose cover by the Calamités was unfortunately never recorded in studio.

The three from Burgundy had indeed brilliantly mastered that song, although it was much more recent than most of the ones they used to cover, as it dated back to 1976 only.
More recent covers of When You Find Out include the one by Jack and the Beanstalk , from Perth (Australia) and one by Rachel Gordon and the Very Idea.
